From Measurement to Decking Masterpiece: The Teaknotek Digital Workflow
In Italy, Teaknotek (the local importer of Flexiteek) is setting a strong example for marine decking professionals across Europe. By combining digital measuring and cutting solutions from Prodim, they have created an efficient, accurate, and highly professional workflow.
Teaknotek first experienced the benefits of digital templating with the Proliner 8CS, and later upgraded to the Proliner 8X Decking package. Most recently, they expanded their setup with a Procutter package, including the Prodim Host software. The result? A seamless process from measurement to production.
Flexiteek decking is produced as custom panels, made by welding multiple vinyl strips into larger sheets. These sheets are then cut to the exact shape of the boat deck. Traditionally, this process often involves physical templates, which can be time-consuming to create and transport.
With the Proliner, Teaknotek captures precise digital measurements directly on-site, eliminating the need for manual templating. These digital templates can then be used in different ways: either sent to a CNC cutting table or, as shown in this case, converted into physical templates using the Procutter.
What makes this workflow especially powerful is the direct connection between measurement and output. The templates visible in the project were generated straight from Proliner data, ensuring maximum accuracy and consistency. For more complex projects, advanced software like Factory Draw Advanced can further enhance the process.
By combining speed, precision, and flexibility, Teaknotek shows how digital solutions can improve efficiency in daily operations. Their succes highlights the practical value of digital templating in modern decking production and offers a relevant example for Flexiteek installers and similar companies
