Foam Craft Floors delivers perfect-fit boat decking using the Proliner
Foam Craft Floors is a small owner-operator business based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Founded 18 months ago, the company has quickly established itself as a specialist in the design and installation of high-performance EVA foam boat decking for vessels of all sizes across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Foam Craft Floors delivers fully customised boat flooring solutions, combining advanced digital scanning, templating, and CNC machining technologies. All design and fabrication work is completed in-house at the company’s Gold Coast facility, ensuring complete control over quality, precision, and finish. Their EVA foam flooring solutions are engineered to provide exceptional comfort, durability, and grip, meeting the practical and aesthetic demands of modern boat owners.
A critical component of Foam Craft Floors’ workflow is the Proliner digital templating system. The Proliner is primarily used for accurately templating boat floors and converting these scans into digital files that can be refined, designed, and prepared directly for CNC machining. This streamlined process has become central to the company’s efficiency and accuracy.

Cameron Binstead of Foam Craft Floors explains the impact of the Proliner on the business:
“I don’t know business without the Proliner, and I don’t want to. Actually I do, I was without the Proliner for about a week due to a mishap. In this week, it wasn’t even worth starting a new job with old school templating techniques, it was more beneficial to focus on other parts of the business while the Proliner was out of action rather than attempt to create templates without it.”
In most projects, the Proliner allows Foam Craft Floors to move directly from digital scan to final CNC cut without the need for test templating. This ability to go straight to final production was a selling point for the Proliner to Foam Craft Floors.
The system is used multiple times each week and has proven its value on both small and large vessels. One standout example was a complete flooring project on a Riviera 58 SMY.
“The Proliner allowed us to scan this entire Riviera 58 SMY, digitise, design, and install with zero alterations needed, no test templating and check measuring, that in itself shows how good this machine can be.”

Before After Before After
By integrating digital templating into every stage of their workflow, Foam Craft Floors has been able to achieve a high level of consistency, reduce production time, and eliminate unnecessary rework. The Proliner has become an essential tool in supporting the company’s commitment to precision, efficiency, and premium-quality boat decking solutions.
