Digital innovation at Louw Granite & Quartz through the Proliner
Located in the coastal town of Yzerfontein on South Africa’s West Coast, Louw Granite & Quartz specializes in the fabrication and installation of premium stone surfaces for kitchens, bathrooms, and vanity tops. The company sources high-quality stone slabs from Zimbabwe through Kianga Quartz, ensuring a consistent supply of natural beauty and durability for their projects.
For years, measuring and templating was done manually. However, their need for higher efficiency and precision motivated the team to transition into digital workflows. To achieve this, Louw Granite & Quartz invested in the Proliner equipped with the Stone Interior Advanced Package, an essential step toward fully digitalizing their production process from start to finish.
After working with the Proliner for several months, the team is delighted with the results. According to them, the technology has transformed their day-to-day operations and increased their project capacity significantly.
Renier Fourie shares: “What impresses me most is the precision of the pointer. You capture the real dimensions with incredible accuracy. I also really appreciate the Factory Software, because we work with natural stone, being able to vein-match designs digitally makes a huge difference.”
Jo-Landé Louw adds: “I love the complete perspective the 3D view gives you. You can see the final result before installation, it brings the whole picture together.”
Their first encounter with the Proliner came through social media, when they saw another company working with the system. Inspired, they researched further and ultimately decided to take the leap. Today, they are thrilled with their decision and the improvements it brought to their workflow.
Following their training at Prodim headquarters in Helmond, the Netherlands, the team is eager to return to South Africa and start their first major project using the Proliner.
