Timmerfabriek Pors improves production efficiency with the Proliner
Timmerfabriek Pors was established in 1997 and is located in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, the Netherlands. Since 2019, the company has operated under its current name; before that, it was known as Timmerbedrijf Pors. The company specializes in the production of hardwood frames, windows, and doors. The entire manufacturing process is carried out in-house using advanced, computer-controlled equipment — from sawing, processing, and gluing the wood to spraying and drying the final product. In addition, the company has a small field service team.
Owner Peter Pors recently decided to start working with the Proliner, combined with the Furniture, Door & Window package. Other employees will also be trained to use the system to ensure that knowledge is shared within the team and that the company is not dependent on a single person. The purchase of the Proliner came on the recommendation of a colleague, who is also a customer of Prodim.
The Proliner will be used for a major project in Utrecht, involving the renovation of old buildings. Peter explains: “On-site, the right-angled doors often need to be adjusted to fit properly, which is very time-consuming. With the Proliner, we now get a digital file that goes straight into production, resulting in perfectly fitting door clearances.”
Peter also sees additional opportunities: “The Proliner creates new possibilities for collaboration and innovation. Combined with a new milling machine, we can expand our range of work and make even greater use of the Proliner.”
