Accurate measuring made easy for Coppens with the Proliner
Originally founded as a traditional painting company, Coppens has gradually evolved into a full-service maintenance specialist, situated in Gilze, The Netherlands. Today, the company focuses on glazing, sustainability, maintenance, and painting. Their clients include housing associations, retail companies, government institutions, and healthcare organizations. Coppens has been in business for 43 years and employs around 50 permanent staff members, reaching nearly 100 employees when including temporary workers.
A significant part of their work involves renovation projects, where accurate measurement of doors and windows is essential. Since they often deal with older buildings and frames, manual measuring with a tape measure used to result in inconsistencies. Jurgen van den Braak explains, “Nowadays, many thick doors with frames are ordered, and once they’re delivered, you can’t adjust them to fit. The measurement must be exact. The new standard is about measuring better and more precisely.”
That need for precision is exactly what led Coppens to invest in the Proliner. “The greatest strength of the Proliner is its accuracy, 100% correct measurements, no more planing, and doors that fit perfectly in the frames,” says Van den Braak. With the Furniture, Door & Window package, Coppens can now handle measurements internally. “We used to outsource this work, but doing it ourselves gives us much more flexibility.”
The Proliner will make its debut in a large-scale renovation project in Breda, where 144 apartments will receive new doors, windows, and top-hung windows. For Coppens, this marks another step forward in professionalization, leveraging modern measuring technology to execute renovation projects with even greater precision and efficiency.
