Doker Natuursteen finds perfect fit with the Proliner

For more than sixteen years, Doker Natuursteen has been a well-established name in Antwerp, Belgium. With over 25 years of experience in the natural stone industry, owner Murat Doker knows better than anyone what quality and precision mean. Before starting his business in Belgium, he already ran a stone company in the Netherlands. He works together with a small team of four people: “I handle sales and production myself, my wife takes care of administration, and we also work with two independent contractors,” he explains.

Doker Natuursteen is active across the full spectrum of the stone industry, with a focus on construction-related projects. “We do everything—from kitchens and stairs to windowsills. We can work both mechanically and by hand. If something can’t be done by machine, we handle it the traditional way,” says Murat Doker.

“I’ve actually known about the Proliner my entire career. It was always a dream of mine to one day buy this device,” he says proudly. Thanks to the option of paying in installments, that dream became reality. “It’s an investment, but if I have to cut two kitchen countertops again because of incorrect measurements, I lose a few thousand euros. I’d rather invest that money in the Proliner.”

Until recently, Doker Natuursteen still used a tape measure. “For straightforward projects, we sometimes still do,” Murat Doker explains, “but for more complex projects—kitchens, stair treads, or round windows—we use the Proliner with the Stone Interior Package.

The differences between the two methods are significant: “When you measure a wall with a tape measure, you always assume it’s straight—but that’s almost never the case. In the past, the countertop had to be trimmed on-site or the wall had to be adjusted. Now that’s a thing of the past: the Proliner measures the exact situation, it’s incredibly precise.”

Murat Doker consciously chose the Proliner. “A laser doesn’t work well in daylight, and I prefer working with the Proliner’s wire. You need to feel and see what you’re doing.” He elaborates: “If something touches the wire and the measurement isn’t correct, you notice it immediately. With a laser, you wouldn’t.”

In addition to the device’s precision, Murat Doker also values Prodim’s service. “The best qualities of the Proliner are its wire-based measuring and its accuracy,” he says. “On top of that, I really appreciate the training we received on how to use it. I’m also very satisfied with Prodim’s communication—they provide excellent after-sales service, my compliments.”
