Vetreria F.lli Galbusera Brings Precision to Glassmaking with the Proliner
Since 1980, Vetreria F.lli Galbusera has been shaping glass with amazing artistry and experience. Based in Rovellasca, Italy, the company began with small-scale repairs and the adaptation of old wooden frames to fit double glazing, which became their first major success. Over time, they expanded to producing and installing modern structural glass, including laminated safety glass with SGP, known for its strength and clarity in structural use
Despite their growth, they’ve remained true to their roots: quality craftsmanship backed by deep knowledge of their materials and methods.
The Proliner Glass Package has played a key role in their recent success. It is now part of every project, enabling a fully digital workflow: from on-site measurement to CAD modeling, to finally delivering an accurate production.
One project that highlights this well was the restoration of a cemetery chapel, which involved creating a glass panel shaped as a “pointed sixth” arch.
“This project involved extraordinary maintenance of a cemetery chapel. It’s a ‘pointed sixth’ glass. The survey was performed by our technical office using the Proliner system, followed by the drafting of an accurate glass cutting sheet. The glass was then manufactured and installed by our team.”
They began on site by taking exact measurements of the arched window with the Proliner. From those, they created precise CAD drawings and a cutting sheet. The custom glass was then produced and installed, perfectly shaped to fit the existing structure.
Projects like this show how tradition and technology can work side by side. For F.lli Galbusera, the goal is always the same: getting every detail right and creating something built to last.
