Sailfish Catamarans: “The Proliner increased the quality of our fabrication and customer satisfaction!”
Sailfish Catamarans is an award-winning custom aluminum powerboat builder for families and serious offshore anglers, manufacturing in Australia for the past 28 years. They decided to go for the Proliner Decking package and Ian Drew tells in detail why they went for the Proliner:
“Before investing in the Proliner we would hand draw and hand cut all of our SeaDek flooring templates and send them away to a SeaDek fabricator for digitizing and cutting. This process was labor-intensive, time-consuming, and inefficient. As an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) with the Proliner, we are able to template all of our floors, side gunwales, and decks with greater accuracy and efficiency. The Proliner combined with our new CNC machine allows us to template, CAD, and cut our SeaDek flooring with ease and speed.
We also have a large number of aluminum templates that have complex shapes that were previously hand-drawn and cut. We have now used the Proliner to digitize these templates to a DXF file for exporting to our CNC machine for cutting. This allows us to produce these complex components that are accurate in every batch that we cut. This has increased the quality of our fabrication and our customer satisfaction with their new boat.
